Kelsey Green has earned a rating of "BV", the highest rating available to a lawyer who has been practicing less than ten years. Congratulations Kelsey!

Prior to joining Miller Stratvert P.A., Mr. Waller was an associate with Foley & Lardner in Milwaukee, where he represented corporate borrowers and lenders, consumer-finance service providers, and financial institutions. Mr. Waller also spent five years in the United States Navy as a nuclear-trained submarine officer.

Mr. Waller is a licensed attorney in New York, Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, and expects to be licensed in New Mexico in April 2010. He will practice in the areas of commercial and corporate transactions.

Kirk R. Allen

Kirk Allen graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a B.A. in 1982 and he received his J.D. from the University of New Mexico in 1988. He was admitted to the State Bar of New Mexico in 1989 and Washington, D.C. in 1991.

Mr. Allen was a member of the National Moot Court Team at the University of New Mexico. He is the editor of the Insurance section of the Defense News Journal for the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association. He concentrates his litigation practice in the areas of business and commercial litigation, and insurance defense.

Alisa R. Wigley DeLara

Ms. Wigley DeLara practices in our Albuquerque office.  She received her B.A., in Political Science in 1998 from the University of New Mexico and her J.D. in 2002, from the University of New Mexico School Of Law. In law school Ms. Wigley-DeLara’s honors included Staff Member of the Natural Resources Journal in 2001 and Lead Articles Editor in 2002.  She competed in the New Mexico Court of Appeals Oral Advocacy Tournament and the Gill Oral Advocacy Competition.  She also held an internship position with The Honorable John E. Conway in 2001.  She is licensed to practice in New Mexico State Courts, the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.  Her practice areas at Miller Stratvert include civil litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith, civil rights, medical malpractice and appellate work.

The Albuquerque Bar Associations' members elected Judge Harris Hartz "Judge of Year" for  2007.  Prior to becoming a judge, Judge Hartz was an attorney at the firm. Bill Stratvert, also of the firm, is immediate Past President.

Business Lawyer of the Year!!!

Albuquerque Attorney, James J. Widland was voted New Mexico Business Lawyer of the Year for 2006 by the business section of the State Bar of New Mexico. Congratulations Jim!

New Mexico Ethics in Business Award

Miller Stratvert nominated for the New Mexico Ethics in Business Award in 2006.

Samaritan Counseling Center of Albuquerque, along with University of New Mexico Anderson Schools of Management, initiated the New Mexico Ethics in Business Awards to recognize companies, non-profit organizations, and individuals who work to successfully integrate ethical business and social responsibility into their daily decision-making.

An independent selection committee of community business leaders and volunteers will review the results of research performed by students from the University of New Mexico Anderson Schools of Management, under the guidance of their professor, John Ackerman, for a class entitled “Ethical, Political and Social Environment of Business,” and then choose the award recipients. The final recipients will include up to three businesses, one non-profit organization, and one individual that will be announced in early February.
